Delegation of Unitec Institute of Technology Visited NCUT
Dean of College of Architecture and Technology--David Nami and director of International Department--Jude Lydia from Unitec Institute of Technology visited our school on the morning of 5th, Sep. Officials from NCUT attending the two sides communication are vice secretary of party committee--Shen Zhili, director of the International Office--Xiong Jiaquan, teacher Tang Yingjuan, general secretary of party committee of College of Architecture and Civil Engineering--Jia Dong. Deputy director of Department of Architecture, College of Architecture and Civil Engineering--Ma Xin and professor from Landscape Architecture--Fu Fan held a meeting with delegates from Unitec Institute of Technology. Two sides exchanged ideas on cooperation in teaching and scientific research, reached an agreement on students exchanges and joint studio, and also set a preliminary ascertainment that selected faculty and students from Unitec Institute of Technology will visit NCUT next March and make a joint design with students of Landscape Architecture. Delegates of Unitec Institute of technology also appreciated the teaching achievements of Department of Architecture and the structure laboratory of Department of Civil Architecture.
Unitec Institute of Technology is a famous comprehensive university in New Zealand. It has established exchange programs with our school. This spring, juniors of Landscape Architecture leading by professor Fu Fan and Yang Xin, made a landscape planning and design on Otara Lake, south of Oakland, through a Unitec online teaching. This design achievement was praised by New Zealand Environment Minister Ms. Amy Adams.
