NPU Wins Two 2015 State Science and Technology Awards |
On the morning of January 8, 2016, CPC Central Committee and the State Council held a grand awarding ceremony for 2015 State Science and Technology Awards at the Great Hall of the People. At the ceremony, a total of 295 awards were presented, including 7 from foreign scientific specialists, among which 42 were awarded State Natural Science Award, 66 State Technological Invention Award, 187 National Award for Science and Technology Progress; The State Preeminent Science and Technology Award was vacant. Two projects submitted by NPU were awarded Second Prize of 2015 National Science and Technology Award: “Autonomous Underwater Vehicle: Key Technology & Application” led by Prof. Song Baowei won the second prize of State Technological Invention Award; “Integrated Configuration Design for Mechanical Structures: Theory and Methodology Research” led by Prof. Zhang Weihong won the second prize of State Natural Science Award. As the leaders of their respective project teams, Prof. Song Baowei and Zhang Weihong were graciously received by the Party and state leaders. |
